How does the demo work?
The model predicts overall from one attribute, using actual FIFA 22 ratings. Outlined players are held out of training. R² measures explained variation (1 is perfect; negative is worse than predicting the average). RMSE is error in rating points. A flexible curve can overfit. The what-if is a model estimate, not EA’s rating formula or a causal prediction. The 180-player sample mixes top-rated players with a random selection.
